Meet Mike…
Instead of writing a boring, unreadable bio from a single point of view, I thought I’d let the folks closest to him write a little something. If you’d like to say something, get in touch, and I’ll be more than happy to post it up here.
What can you really even say? An incredible musician and lyricist, consummate artist, ultimate creative… pretty much anything said pales in relation to what he really was. To me, he was a father and a friend, a mentor and an inspiration. Far from perfect, but as perfect as he could be.
To say he is missed is a massive understatement. But there is still so much of him around. He left an indelible mark not only on me and my brood – but on the world at large. So many young musicians have seen and were influenced by him (even if in minute ways) that he’ll go on and on and on. Not just through his family – but through his words, his music, his mirth and his mayhem.
We miss you here, Pop. Can’t wait to hug your neck again.
